Plate Roll Operator
To be considered, candidate should have at least 5 years experience in operating plate bending rolls. Along with extensive rolling experience, this person should also possess a strong working knowledge of carbon steel plate products; this includes standard sizes, grades, formability and the physical / chemical properties of these products. Any prior experience with 4 roll Bertsch bending equipment is a huge plus. The likely candidate should possess the knowledge and experience to work with little supervision while effectively maintaining a stringent production schedule. The likely candidate should also possess the experience and willingness to adequately perform the following tasks:
- Lift at least 50 pounds
- Work overtime and weekends
- Read drawings in 2-D as well as 3-D
- Work in metric as well as inches
- Maintain and clean equipment daily
- Consistently produce an accurate finished product
- Accurately check dimensions to ensure finished products are within tolerance
- Work with and train additional operators
- Maintain close working relationship with Q.C. department
- Operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Maintain a clean work area
- Effectively communicate with office personnel
- Read, write and speak English (bilingual a plus)
