Conroe Job Opportunities

BAUER Maschienen GmbH (http://www.bauer.de/en/maschinenbau), a subsidiary of the public company BAUER AG in Germany (http://www.bauer.de/index_en.htm) with over 6,000 people and roughly $1.7 Billion in revenue, and is the world market leader in foundation construction equipment.

We are currently setting up a new manufacturing company in the USA, BAUER Manufacturing Inc., Conroe (“BMC”).  On 65 acres of land in Conroe North Industrial Park we are building from scratch a manufacturing plant where (in the first stage) about 200 people will produce foundation equipment for sales in North and South America.  The plant will be fully self-contained with assembly, welding, machine shops, design and development, purchasing and administration departments.

The new plant is going to start production before mid-year 2009. We are setting up a preliminary manufacturing facility for training people there already doing some small-scale production.  Our first employees will be trained in one of our facilities in Germany for a period of 2-3 months.  We are starting production in a small rented building in the area with help of experienced people from Germany.

The first product will be an anchor drilling rig of the KLEMM brand

Later that year we will also produce pile drilling rigs of the BAUER brand.

The people working for BMC in the beginning will later on train new staff and have the opportunities for advancement in the company.  All potential employees need to speak English and be qualified to work in the United States.  We want to have highly qualified, hard working individuals who are able to work independently.  High personal integrity and loyalty is also required.

During the start-up period we will hire three people:

Mechanic (2) . . . . . .
Experienced in assembling hydraulic machines from components (pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, pipes, …).  Advantageous would be also experience in assembling heavy construction machinery.

Electrician (1) . . . . . .
Experienced in assembling electric control boxes and wiring up mobile equipment.

In addition we are currently looking for a:

Plant Manager . . . . . .

Leading a manufacturing plant for construction machinery with 200 (and in the future more) employees. 
Assisting in supervision of the construction process of the plant. 
Assisting in setting up the preliminary production for training purposes. 
Selecting people, setting up a management structure, doing financials and controlling. 

Qualifications for example “Masters of Business Administration”; good technical understanding desirable.
