Pileco Leads and Components
The lead profiles used in the industry have a large variety. The two main lead type categories are the "U-type leads" and the "box - leads".
U-type leads
- the pile is guided inside the lead
- the pile hammer is center guided
- various designs are possible like swinging and fixed leads, casing type leads,
Box-type leads (or European type-lead)
- the pile is guided in front of the lead
- the closed profile is more rigid against torque load of drilling equipment
- the box can be closed by plate or have a lattice boom design, the most simple is an H-beam

Swinging & Fixed Leads (U-Type Lead Systems)
- this leads are crane suspended and can be used with any crane of appropriate lifting capacity
- various combination of swinging and fixed leads are possible depending on the lead size lengths up to 220 feet (67m) are possible
- interchangeable standard lead section allowing various lead length
- side mounted auger rail are an additional option
- hydraulic spotters for support of fixed lead systems and head blocks are custom designed for special requirements.

Caisson Type leads - OS Leads
- this leads are pile suspended and can be used with any crane of appropriate lifting capacity

RTG Telescopic lead systems
Feature the proven parallelogram kinematics linkage system. The torsion resistant construction accomplishes a wide
range rapid adjustment of forward reach with the leader remaining vertical. All RTG telescopic leaders are fabricated
as rectangular cross section in composite construction. The unique form of the telescopic masts combines maximum
characteristic strength and stability with the lowest possible fabrication weight. The leaders have the capacity to transfer
high bending moments as well as torques of up to 90 kNm (66400 ft.lbs.)
