The Pileco U-Type Leads are designed in various sizes in order to fit any model hammer. Pileco's standard leads of
the sizes U26, U32 and U42 feature the proven four point pin connectors allowing quick field assembly. All lead
sections are interchangeable, allowing various lead length combinations.
The so called Swinging lead is a very inexpensive and flexible solution for pile driving. At only a single
lifting point the lead can be picked up from any appropriate sized crane. A second crane drum is needed to lift the
hammer - guided inside the lead. For lifting the pile a third drum or an additional arrangement is needed.
The most simple swinging lead is a heavy H-beam which can guide the smaller Pileco Diesel Hammers up to a size of a
D12-42 and up to a length of 40...60 feet.
The fixed lead systems exist in a wide variety from the vertical fixed two axis system to the vertical travel
three axis lead systems. Pileco fabricates custom designed components like head blocks, boom point connectors, spotters,
pile gates and other accessories required for these systems.
